Dr. Aditat Vasinonta, the Deputy-Director General, Office of Industrial Economics, Ministry of Industry, acted as the Chair of the Project Steering Committee (PSC) led a study tour on the BAT/BEP Application in Republic of Korea between 27 August - 2 September 2023 to visit scrap metal recycling plants and downstream metal industry for observing the technology and implementation on how to reduce U- POPs releases. The study tour delgates consists of the Technical Working Group (TWG) from the relevant agencies which are the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) and UNIDO with Dr. Kittiphan Bangyikhan, the Ministry Counselor (Industrial Department) Overseas Industrial Advisory Office in Tokyo who participated throughout the visit.The study visit schedule are as followed;Monday 28 August 2023- Meeting Daehan Steel &amp; Recycling Co., Ltd. in Incheon, the leading scrap steel producer in the Republic of Korea with the main products of steel bars, H-beam steel and sheet steel, as well as the having environmentally friendly operations and expertise in renewable materials.Tuesday 29 August 2023-meeting with Photovoltaic (PV) Recycling Center Research Center for Scrap Panel Recycling Technology at Chungbuk Technopark. located in Cheongju.
